Special Character Creation Rules

Regional Choices

Players must choose one of the three kingdoms in which their character was raised. Each region has specific allowed races from which a player may choose (exceptions can be made with GM’s discretion). Each region provides a free trait to characters who were raised in that kingdom.

Region Available Races Regional Bonus Trait
The Triumvirate Human, Elf, Gnome, Half Elf + 2 bonus Knowledge (dungeoneering), knowledge (history). Choose one as class skill.
Gulani Highlands Human, Dwarf, Orc, Half Elf + 2 bonus Perception, Survival. Choose one as class skill.
The Rathi Wilds Human, Elf, Troll, Half Elf + 2 bonus to move silently, hide, acrobatics. All are class skills. Rogues from this region instead get +4.

Racial Choices

The players choice of race will affect attribute modifiers, available classes and special traits.

Special Note: Half Elves – All Half Elves receive standard ability modifiers. Half Elves from The Triumvirate and The Rathi Wilds must choose which heritage (Elf or Human) to follow and receive Special Trait and Class restrictions of their chosen heritage. Half Elves from the Gulani Highlands receive the Special Traits and Class restrictions of their human heritage by default.

Specialized Class – Gnomish Spellslinger

The Gulani Highlands

Humans

Ability Modifiers – Receives the standard + 2 Human Modifier but may choose to add + 3 to Str. or Con. while taking a – 1 penalty to Dex.
Special Trait – + 2 bonus to Diplomacy and Climb. May choose 1 as a class skill.

All Cavalier, Inquisitor Bloodrager, Brawler, Swashbuckler, Warpriest

Dwarves

Ability Modifiers – Standard
Special Trait – Toughness bonus feat at lv 1, Endurance bonus feat at lv 4
Available classes -

Core Base Hybrid
All except Wizard or Sorcerer Alchemist, Gunslinger Any except Arcanist and Shaman

Skyreach Orcs

Ability Modifiers – + 3 strength, – 2 Intelligence, -1 Wisdom
Special Traits – + 3 bonus Handle Animal, Always a class skill.

All except Rogue Cavalier Skald, Warpriest, Brawler

Humans

Ability Modifiers – Standard
Special Traits – + 2 bonus to Intimidate, Heal. May choose one as class skill.
Available Classes -

Any Oracle, Summoner, Witch Bloodrager, Hunter, Shaman, Skald, Slayer

Elves

Ability Modifiers – + 2 Dex, +1 Int, -1 Con
Special Trait – + 2 to Concentration checks, +2 resistance to poison

Any Alchemist, Magus, Oracle, Summoner Arcanist, Hunter, Slayer, Warpriest

Trolls

Ability Modifiers – +2 Dex, +2 Wis, -2 Int
Special Traits – +2 Bonus to Heal, Bluff. Choose one as class skill.

All except Paladin Oracle, Witch Hunter, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Swashbuckler
